Event Information

Sankofa Weekend (July 19-21, 2024) and Sirius Rising (July 22 – 28, 2024) is celebrating 30 years and we want to expand our food selection for our participants.    Over 150 Eclectic Workshops, nightly music performances and community fires (drumming and dancing), Labyrinth and much more.  Campground features hot showers, pool, hot tub, and walking trails. Primitive tent camping, electric sites, Trailers/RVs and few primitive cabins. The community that builds over 2 weeks from around 300 people to 1400 people.

This is a great opportunity for the right fit!   We are committed to limiting competition and advertising for you. (If our campers know you will be there, they can pack less food or reduce shopping trips.) This may not be the frenzy of one day music festival but is a steady of flow of patrons looking for lunch, dinner and snack options over 10 days. Vegetarian options are appreciated.  Some campers may like to cook in the great outdoors, but most like to participate in the event, and let others do the cooking.

Learn more about us from these links: Sirius Rising, Sankofa Weekend and Brushwood Folklore Center, LLC.  The events are clothing optional (naturists, stick rules of conduct, 15-20% of population exercise the option and most at the pool house and spa.)
