Brushwood’s Sankofa Festival returns to Brushwood’s roots and continues to promote an open, accepting and safe environment that allows participants the freedom to have fun and celebrate the creative spirit. This event takes place the weekend BEFORE Sirius Rising. The focus is on 1. Having fun and being creative 2. Learning different pathways 3. Sharing within our community. So whether you are interested in more focused workshop experience or simply relaxing and having fun, come and enjoy a great time with the Brushwood community.
Workshops & Activities
- Workshops exploring Mind-Body-Soul: journey into a new sense of health and well-being; an array of natural health practices, spiritual beliefs and alternative philosophies
- Ceremonial, Community Fires, Sacred Circles with a tribal influence are explored. Nightly Roundhouse Fires are open to the entire community and are a mainstay at Brushwood….drum and dance all night long.
- Thursday Night Art Show, Friday Night Karaoke Night and Saturday Welcome Primal Rhythm to the Stage!
